Asplin Spearmint

A print inspired by mark-making and textural relief, featuring scattered overlapping skeletal leaves and foliage. The print has a feeling of a photogram of foliage showing shadowy variations in tone and pattern. To replicate the organic and mark-making feel of the design, Asplin has been printed using a colour discharge print technique.

A colour discharge printing technique is a method of applying a design to previously dyed fabric using a colour paste that bleaches out a design.
